Multi-effect pedals tend to get a bad rap in the pedal community as the sound on them might not be as good as other pedals and they can be harder to customize. However, they can be a great launching point for a beginner guitarist to experiment with and be inspired by effects. For a more seasoned player, though they might not be great to gig with, they can be fertile ground for experimentation and song writing. If you can find one of these on Kijiji, Craigslist, Marketplace, Ebay or even a garage sale it can result in many hours of solitary fun. Anything that makes you want to actually play your instrument is a win.

This is part of a small series of videos showcasing some multi effect pedals from the past. I'm not tweaking any of the sounds, though you can, I'm just showing off the factory presets. This particular pedal happens to have an expression pedal, however, there isn't that wide of movement to get a wide range of sounds. The presets on this one are more word and name based than just numeric. Some of them are fairly obvious with what they were aiming for.
