Multi-Robotic Timber Assembly

Описание к видео Multi-Robotic Timber Assembly

Jointly planned in the USA and Switzerland, within three days, in spring 2020, we fabricated a unique timber pavilion in a collaborative workshop between Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, University of Michigan, and ERNE AG Holzbau at ERNE AG Holzbau’s fabrication facility in Switzerland. The layered roof - based on the Zollinger system - was assembled by a 7-axis gantry system. It rests on three bespoke columns, each consists of stacked timber slats, individually cut, placed, and joined by a KUKA KR240 robot.
