Você sabe todos os tempos verbais em inglês?
Você sabe quantos tempos verbais existem em inglês? São 16!
A maioria dos alunos não conhece todos. Além disso, muitos não entendem como eles são formados.
Para começar, temos 4 formas verbais em inglês : o infinitivo (infinitive), passado (simple past), particípio (past participle) e o gerúndio (gerund or presente participle).
Essas formas combinam entre si e com outros auxiliares para formar os 16 tempos verbais em inglês.
Porém você não precisa realmente saber todos em detalhes, já que apenas uma parte deles é usado com frequência no dia a dia.
Os tempos verbais em inglês se dividem em 4 grandes grupos: present, past, future and conditional.
Cada um deles formam outros quatro tempos derivados. Cada um dos tempos principais vai ter quatro formas: simples (simple), continuo (continuous), perfeito (perfect) e continuo perfeito (perfect continuous).

Present tenses:
present simple, present continuous (ou present progressive), present prefect, present perfect continuous.
Past tenses:
simple past, past continuous (ou past progressive), past perfect, past perfect continuous (ou progressive).
Future tenses:
Simple future, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous (ou progressive).
Conditional tenses (past future tenses)
Conditional, conditional continuous, conditional perfect, conditional perfect continuous.

1. Present
a. Simple: I work at a hotel./She works at a hotel.
b. Continuous: He is fixing the sink.
c. Perfect: I have slept better these days.
d. Perfect continuous: He has been studying English since November
2. Past
a. Simple: He went to the mall.
b. Continuous: She was peeling potatoes in the kitchen.
c. Perfect: It had rained heavily.
d. Perfect continuous: She had been talking on the phone for half an hour (when I arrived).
3. Future
a. Simple: I will buy a gift for my friend.
b. Continuous: They will be flying to the beach at this time next week.
c. Perfect: I will have completed my graduation degree by the end of this year.
d. Perfect continuous: I will have been learning English for 5 years by the end of this month.
4. Conditional (past future)
a. Simple: I would like a cup of coffee.
b. Continuous: (I told you…) I would be doing my homework all day long.
c. Perfect: They would have finished the project (if they hadn’t run into so many problems).
d. Perfect continuous: (He said) He would have been working for 2 hours by that time.
