The Narrow Window for Compensation | Climbing the Rating Ladder vs. 1333

In this continuation of the "Climbing the Rating Ladder" series I take on players of various ratings levels while pointing out typical mistakes and spots for improvement along the way (possibly my own!? :)). Here I commentate a 10+5 game against a player rated 1333 on Chess.com. In a Panov Attack in the Caro-Kann featuring the "good marriage" of the White queenside knight and c-pawn,(1.e4 c6 2.Nf3 d5 3.exd5 cxd5 4.d5 Nc6 5.c4 Nf6 6.Nc3) I elect to reinforce d5 and double attack c4 with a less common bishop develop, 6...Be6. White replies somewhat casually, and I seize the opportunity capture the c-pawn. White now must play down a pawn, and although compensation may be available, the window can close quickly.
