Minamalist Dark Ambient created entirely from Field Recordings

It’s no secret that field recordings have been an integral part of my music since the very beginning

They are, however, not usually the focal point of my songs. Just some sort of background accent.

Typically I keep them true to their original recorded sound, but it's always been interesting processing them and changing them into something else, too.

So, I figured it was time to try just that -- Creating a Dark Ambient song using nothing but my personal field recordings.

In this song you’ll hear the heavily processed sounds of birds, cicadas, water drips, fire, distant voices, construction sites, rain, river, and a garage door opening.

These recordings have been heavily stretched out from their original length, a great deal of reverb was added, echo, and some were put in reverse, as well.

Creating Dark Ambient from entirely using field recordings isn’t exactly new, but it's something I’ve never created before. So, here you go.
