For years there were agruments that Jagged Swords are too OP and unfair. While in fact mainland equipment like Magic Sword can accelerate progress by ~20%, weapons don't matter much in general. The key ingredient to hits is Level.

The formula for minimal hit is level divided by 5. For me this is around 33. Take defense of mobs into account and I can consistently one-shot "paper mobs" even with the worst weapon on full def.

If you burn your stamina with katana every day you will have better results than someone who plays with magic sword, but plays inconsistently.
