When this PC was built, there wasn't a cost efficient GPU on the market as the 1080 was too slow for my requirements and the Titan X was way too expensive. There were rumors about the 1080 Ti circulating and thus I decided to wait for it. In the meantime I stuck with the Intel HD Graphics 630 which was much more powerful than my previous ATI 565v GPU.

As you would know by now, the 1080 Ti was then announced to be even faster than the Titan X and cost just over 60%. This was the obvious choice. And then..... there was the ever long wait for EVGA to release the FTW3 (this was the last 1080 Ti GPU to hit the market I believe). The knock on to that was EKWB's late release of the water blocks for this GPU which was only released on 03/07/2017.

To accommodate the new GPUs I had to add an EKWB CE 280 radiator to the loop. This is the thickest and most powerful radiator in the 280mm class. This new one complements the existing XE 360 radiator that is mounted at the top of the chassis, which is the thickest and best performing radiator in the 360mm category.

The CE 280 is powered by 2 x EK-Vardar F2-140 fans while the XE 360 has 2 x EK-Vardar F1-120 fans.

Amazingly the new loop consumed exactly 1L of coolant, which is the perfect amount as EK's concentrated liquid coolant comes in 250 mL bottles that are meant to be mixed with 750 mL of water.
