A jig used for efficiency, accuracy and safety when working with power tools and woodworking machinery. There are a lot of useful jigs made by individuals on the net as well. Such jigs are often equipped with "knob bolts" and "knob nuts" which have a star-shaped knob part. It is the second most frequently used metal fittings after toggle clamps, because it can smoothly attach and detach the material to be fixed.

As I've gotten older, I've been seeking efficiency, accuracy, and safety in my DIY work more and more, so I expect to have more opportunities to make jigs in the future. However, the longer the nominal length of the knob bolt, the more expensive it becomes, which is not good for your wallet. For example, M6/40mm knob bolts are currently on sale on Amazon for about 200 yen each, making them comparable to the actual price of seven Black Sanders if you add up the numbers.

So, this time we decided to make a jig to efficiently make the knob part of the knob bolt and knob nut. If you make a large quantity of knobs, you can economically stock up on knob nuts and knob bolts for each size when you need them.
