Danita 1240UK PR27/94 UK FM CB radio - service alignment

This is one of the sets in a big box of radios kindly sent as a gift from a viewer.

As receiver performance had now become part of the licensing specificaion under PR27/94, whilst no so within the previous CB27/81 spec, the receiver incorporates a crystal filter & actually receives a good sensitivity. The radio came up to a full 4W transmit output too. Not so clever is the 1.6hz average deviation. It does peak at 2.0Khz & we'll see how it goes during the 'on the air' test later today.. Seeing as I was given two of these sets, we'll see if he other one performs the same; I think it will. This deviation/transmitted audio situation is very similar to the Realistic TRC1007, which also has quite a low average & an initial peak.
