Fibrebond, based in Minden, started as a small family-run company and faced many challenges, including a major factory fire in 1998. During that difficult time, Walker’s father continued paying employees, building strong trust and loyalty.

Years later, when the company was sold for $1.7 billion, Walker ensured that 15% of the sale went directly to employees. As a result, 540 full-time employees received bonuses averaging $443,000 each, paid over time.
