Day 5 Saw Afghanistan finally getting past the Mighty Aussies and win a crucial encounter to throw the Group wide open with no team guaranteed a Semi Final Spot yet and will have to wait till Day 7 to find out their fate.
England Blasted away USA in a one sided encounter to book a spot in the Semi Finals.

Day 6 have two important fixtures. Although the concept of Quarter Finals in ICC Tournaments are long forgotten but both the Matches will be a virtual Quarter Final for 3 of the 4 teams participating today.

The First Match is Between South Africa & West Indies with the winners getting the ticket to the Semi Finals but the losers are going home. South Africa has a chance to go top of the table with a win and remain unbeaten. However West Indies will make use of familiar conditions to stop the South African Jaggernaut.

The Second Match of the Day is between Australia & India, India were hardly challenged in this tournament so far and have cruised to a commanding position. However Australia's shock defeat to Afghanistan have opened the door for Afghanistan & have also ensured that India have to earn the ticket to the Semi Final simply by defeating Australia and thereby ensuring that one of their Achilles Heel in ICC Knockouts are eliminated before the knockout provided Afghanistan get a win over deflated Bangladesh the following day.

The Equation for Australia is simple, they had a bad day against Afghanistan but it should shake them up & help them to give a better performance. A win for Australia should be enough unless Afghanistan get a massive win. However a massive win for Australia by a margin of 41 runs or more and a win inside 14 overs while chasing will make Australia pip India to the top of the table and in that case a big win for Afghanistan could result in a shock elimination for Team India.
