Period 1/2 leather bindings, raised bands, gilt title lettering, gilt ruled compartments, marbled covers and end papers, deckled edges, top edge gilt.

All volumes well illustrated throughout with tipped in images printed on India Paper.

Bindings remain clean, tight, and sound. Interior contents bright and clean, largely free of any age spotting. Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive. A handsome set with a wonderful shelf appearance.
