The CMS of ATL Program Overview 2025

The Community Music School of Atlanta offers a unique music program to the city of Atlanta, specializing in adult learning that meets individual student needs within a group setting. With an emphasis on creating a safe learning environment, students are encouraged to explore their instruments, play together with others, and satisfy their curiosity about creating sound and communicating through music.

Classes range from beginning and intermediate to advanced-level instruction in 12-Week Sessions throughout Fall and Spring, plus selected 4-Week Workshops throughout the year.

Beginning-level students are not required to have any prior music or note-reading instruction. Intermediate and advanced-level students are drawn both from individuals who began with the CMS program as well as those with a background in music who have come back to making music.
