Bioshock and The Philosophy of Games

Описание к видео Bioshock and The Philosophy of Games

Philosophical games engage with ideas and themes from philosophy, like Bioshock, Nier Automata or Deus Ex, and use mechanics, systems and their fiction to communicate messages. However, the philosophy of games is not about invoking ideas as an aesthetic, but an interrogation about the nature of games themselves. In analyzing the history of games and philosophy, we see that they have a history that is intertwined, a history that has pushed us towards new ways of thinking, and can inform how we design philosophical games.
