PORTRAIT PAINTING WITH ONLY 1 COLOR! monochrome watercolor portrait painting| 2019

Hello there, welcome back to my channel. In this video I am going to paint the portrait of an elderly women with a lot of wrinkle marks on her face. For this painting tutorial I am going to use monochrome watercolors and the base color which I will be using for this whole portrait, will be a mixture of Ivory black, Sap green, Prussian blue and Yellow ochre which all together will form a mild grey tone that I will be using to paint the light , mid and the dark tones of the portrait respectively. I think this video will be a great learning for all the watercolor learners on how to paint a portrait without using a whole range of colors and still creating a realistic looking portrait with proper tonal variations. This video is mainly focused on the understanding of values and the use of brushstrokes to define certain effects in a portrait like how to draw wrinkles, how to paint aged skin, how to paint the wrinkled eye etc. So this video as a whole will consist a lot other aspects of painting those which are worth exploring.
