Who is Glorfindel? The Balrog Slayer and the Fall of Gondolin - Lore Explained

Who is Glorfindel? The Legendary Elf Lord from Gondolin, who slew a Balrog? In this special Episode of my books and films references and differences series, we will fully focus on this character, who only has a smallc ameo in the LotR films. In Tolkien's books however he plays a bigger role and has a very interesting backstory in the lore, which includes the Fall of Gondolin, but also Balrogs, Dragons and the First Dark Lord Morgoth.

- At 16:13 I say Elenwë was the daughter of Turgon. Weird mistake, but ofc Idril is the daughter of Turgon. Elwenë is his wife.
