Machu Picchu ticket to get to the most popular popular VIEWPOINT (How tickets work at MP)

Описание к видео Machu Picchu ticket to get to the most popular popular VIEWPOINT (How tickets work at MP)

That was our second ticket to Machu Picchu – the popular route that included the upper terrace and the inferior terrace, and then it continued with the lower part of the settlement. Remember that the tickets are now offered under different routes, so this was Circuit 2 in April 2024, but it doesn’t exist anymore as the circuits were updated.

The best way to understand how these circuits work is to check out the official website, where you can buy your tickets for MP and check each circuit’s MAP.

As a point of reference, you will see a bunch of important spots on the map, and the one under number 1 is the inferior platform, and then number 2 is the superior platform. Choose the ticket that goes next to number 2 to get to this viewpoint. If possible, choose the route that also includes the Inca Bridge.

The Peruvian Ministry of Tourism has changed the access tickets for Machu Picchu a couple of times, and tourists are now confused about what type of ticket they need to purchase.

This action allows local authorities to better control crowds at Machu Picchu and avoid overcrowding.

To paint a better picture of what’s happening, I’ll share a bit about the history of how these tickets used to be.
At first, not too long ago, you would purchase a ticket and with that ticket you were allowed to roam around the citadel.
But because people would end up spending way too long inside, much longer than it was needed to actually see it, the authorities came up with a different system to streamline the traffic inside.
