Jitiya Vrat 2025 (जीवित्पुत्रिका व्रत)
इस साल जितिया व्रत 14 सितंबर 2025 को रखा जाएगा। यह व्रत मुख्य रूप से बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश, झारखंड और नेपाल में माताएं अपनी संतान की लंबी आयु, अच्छे स्वास्थ्य और सुख-समृद्धि की कामना के लिए करती हैं। तीन दिन तक चलने वाले इस व्रत में महिलाएं जितिया का धागा हाथ या गले में बांधती हैं, जो संतान रक्षा और मां के आशीर्वाद का प्रतीक माना जाता है।
🌸 जितिया धागा उतारने और विसर्जन के नियम
व्रत समाप्त होने के बाद धागा कम से कम 24 घंटे तक न उतारें
धागे को नदी, तालाब या पवित्र जल में विसर्जित करें
पास में जल न हो तो तुलसी या पीपल के पेड़ पर चढ़ाएं
चाहें तो इसे घर के पूजा स्थल पर सुरक्षित रखें
❌ क्या न करें?
धागे को कूड़े या गंदी जगह पर न फेंकें
पैरों के नीचे न आने दें
इसका अपमान न करें, वरना पितरों और देवी-देवताओं की कृपा कम हो सकती है
✨ जितिया व्रत मातृत्व और संतान रक्षा का पर्व है। धागे का विसर्जन श्रद्धा और सही विधि से करने पर संतान की दीर्घायु, परिवार की समृद्धि और घर में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा बनी रहती है।

This year, Jitiya Vrat will be observed on 14th September 2025. Celebrated mainly in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Nepal, mothers observe this fast for the long life, health, and prosperity of their children. During the three-day vrat, women tie the Jitiya sacred thread (dhaga) on their hand or neck, symbolizing protection and the eternal bond between mother and child.
🌸 Rules for Jitiya Thread (Dhaga) after the Vrat
Do not remove the thread immediately; keep it for at least 24 hours
Immerse it in holy water sources like a river, pond, or well
If water is not nearby, offer it to a Tulsi or Peepal tree
You may also keep it safely at the home prayer altar
❌ What NOT to Do:
Never throw the sacred thread in trash or dirty places
Do not let it come under feet
Avoid disrespect, as it may reduce divine blessings
✨ Jitiya Vrat is a festival of motherhood and child protection. The sacred thread is a symbol of devotion and vows, and immersing or offering it with proper rituals ensures the child’s longevity, family prosperity, and positivity at home.
