Hope you have fun doing this simple experiment with your children. Kids can learn about diffusion as well as creation of secondary colour from mixing primary colours together.
My 4 years old boy had so much fun with this water experiment so I am sure your kids will have fun too. :)


Colour Mixing:

Primary Colours (cannot be mixed with other colours): Red, Yellow and Blue

Secondary Colours (created by mixing primary colours together: Green (Blue mix Yellow), Orange (Yellow mix Red), Purple (Red mix Blue).


Diffusion:

Diffusion is the process by which molecules spread from areas of high concentration, to areas of low concentration. When the molecules are even throughout a space - it is called EQUILIBRIUM
