Building A Cabin - Part Four - Building A Work Shelter For Tools & Generator

In this episode we build a work shelter to house our tools & generator. We wanted to build this first so that we could easy and conveniently work on the cabin without having to haul all of the tools out to the spot to work with every time. We also wanted a place that we could get out of the direct sun for a break during summer or get out of the rain.

This shelter eventually turned out to be our home base while working on the cabin.

In this video we also skinned some logs and got prepped to start doing some work on the cabin.

In the middle of nowhere in the Canadian forest, we are attempting to build a second Timber Framed Cabin and we are documenting the process to show you how to build a cabin yourself. Our cabin is completely off the grid and we are working on it mainly with the help of friends and family. The goal is to live there while becoming fully self-sufficient!
