We all have preferences when it comes to low-top and high-top shoes for lifting, cross-training, and working out.

Personally, I love rocking high-top shoes for lifting when I'm doing lower body days, it's cold outside, or I want something that looks good for daily wear. For most sessions, though, you'll find me training in low-top barefoot or cross-training shoes.

I think the main thing to consider with high-top shoes for training is that they come with more limitations compared to low-top shoes.

Depending on the shoe, the higher boot can cause mobility and functionality to drop a bit depending on what you're doing and how tight you're lacing them.
