Ukulele Review Makala MK-CE Concert Electric

This was my first ukulele that purchased for myself. I had bought a cheap Mahalo to check out (for a school purchase) but I wanted something in-between a soprano and a tenor, and thought that I might need to amplify it (I never really do).

I received one that buzzed, returned it, and bought another. It has been a good ukulele, and I'll always keep it. I liked it with other strings, and the tuner design on these (and the Dolphin/Shark models) are a little annoying...they rattle (not while playing).

I'd definitely recommend this as a first ukulele...with or without electronics. That said, buy it from a dealer who will set it up and make it easier to play (such as Mim's Ukes and The Uke Republic).
