Hi curlies. I thought I'd throw together a quick step by step video tutorial of me henna-ing my hair with the LUSH cosmetics henna dye. This is the newest updated formula as of 2023.

Henna is a fantastic way to colour the hair without causing any damage. The LUSH henna bricks also work as a treatment for the hair thanks to the coco butter base.

Lush reccomend leaving the henna in the hair for at least 2 hours. After this, the henna will not continue to colour the hair however the coco butter will still be working its magic.

Henna continues to brighten for a few days after washing it out so I personally recommend to wait a few days before deciding whether to add more henna of the same or a different colour. Unlike with box dyes, you will not damage the hair by doing another application shortly after. There isn't actually a time period that you have to wait before using the henna again.

Henna colours are buildable, this means you can apply the same or a different colour henna onto already henna-d hair for brighter, bolder or different results.
