Listen to Laura's incredible story about how she started off playing guitar in a punk rock gang to being the Facebook guru that she is today. Recently, she had successfully launched numerous products, and have become not just a marketing expert but specifically, Laura is also an authority in Facebook marketing, and she has great handy tips for you to take away and use. She also someone who somehow has the knack for 'looking into the future', of knowing what would happen in the market. She predicted that mobile would be the next hot thing, and she was spot on.

What is Facebook marketing? How is marketing on Facebook different from other 'regular' promotion and selling processes? What are the effective strategies, strategies that work, when we want to market, promote and sell on a social platform like Facebook, which is perhaps where you also get the biggest amount of cheap, targeted traffic? By the end of listening to this episode, you could then draw up something like a Facebook marketing plan template that works.

Laura talks about getting traffic on Facebook and then how you convert that traffic. Otherwise it is just pointless to have traffic if you do not convert it. These days, the majority of our customers like hanging out on Facebook. So if we know how to effectively target these people on Facebook, it is huge. That said, this is a place where you 'play by the rules' when you go through a marketing process. We cannot just jump on to this social platform and say 'buy my stuff'. You have to be interacting normally while nurturing relationships with them and then selling becomes 'like a natural process' that follows. We need to like go through a get-to-know-you and dating process, before we any selling really starts.

After sharing those tips, Laura continues to share more Facebook marketing strategies with us. She touches on Retargeting and how handy and powerful this tool is. Without Retargeting, if people went to your website and left, that was it. You cannot connect or interact with them further. With Retargeting though, you can retarget them, like follow up with them with your ad. Because Facebook gives you a code that you can stick on your website to create the retargeting cookie. That enables that person or them to be put on your list, and you get to keep this traffic and retarget them later. Then they talk about the various types of retargeting that works.

Then they move on to look at Search versus Facebook. How people are already searching for something, info, help, solution, to buy something - a particular something. On Facebook, poeple go there to have conversations, to connect, to talk, and not exactly to search - so the approach that we use on Facebook has to go 'by the rules' of this social platform. Or it does not work or to the point of we getting shut down.

So they go on to discuss further on how to use Facebook for marketing in terms of posting up ads. Here you hear about ads should be created, how they should be displayed, how to make good Facebook ads and what ads do you use? Would video ads be good? And the strategies on doing Facebook ads.
