BJP leader and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadanvis quickly responded with letters of Mohandas Gandhi and Indira Gandhi in defence of Savarkar. Both Congress and Shiv Sena are rightwing capitalist parties. Shiv Sena was nurtured and promoted by Congress in its bid to suppress the workers movement in 1960 Bombay. For major part, Shiv Sena had allied itself with BJP, the other rightwing ruling clique of Indian capitalists. Recently, Congress and Shiv Sena had joined hands to form government in Maharshtra, toppled later by BJP. Like Savarkar, Mohandas and Indira Gandhi represented the big Indian bourgeoisie. Savarkar's Hindu Mahasabha and Gandhi's Congress both had been colluded in their own ways with Britsh British Colonialists to avert any possibility of a socialist revolution on Indian sub-continent. Both had assisted the British in imposing the tragedy of communal partition upon the billions on the sub-continent.
