In other words, are women underrepresented in the boardrooms of business and the backrooms of politics because their economic influence is underplayed in news and entertainment? Does the industry actually perpetuate the problem by failing to portray them as newsmakers, market-moving forces and political drivers, as well as experts and opinion makers?
