Yuma Uesaka - Bb Clarinet, electronics (Norns Shield)

The goal for this solo set is to make the listener question what is or is not electronically processed as I explore the intersections of sounds associated with "acoustic" and "electronic" music. While there is a clear answer to what is coming out of the speaker vs what is coming through the clarinet, I believe there is enough overlap in the sound worlds that the listener might not be able to tell from a perceptual point of view. There were even times as I was performing where I could not tell whether I was acoustically producing a particular sound, which created this beautiful sense of losing my place in a sound world that I created.

Although this set was conceived as one piece or a performance, there are structures/tunes/textures that I've been exploring that might be worth highlighting.
