With the lock-on quickswap tech    • Lock-on is now officially a quick swap mod   it's now possible to stun-lock (possessed) marauders to death even without the use of the feet-ballista (I'll show that 1-cycle in another moment). Movement is key: not only you want to be as close as possible to the marauder, you also should fire the lock-on burst aiming on the right (or left) of his head (possibly slighty above it) while circling aroung him in the other direction. In theory it's possible to kill him with only three rounds of the combo ballista-pb-rocket-lock-on if you manage to hit a good percentage of the lob rockets (also if you actually shoot three of them instead of two: don't hit the modswap button too soon!).
Thanks to DaringDanny we now also have a name for this 1-cycle: the boomerang combo!
