Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Visits Bhalswa Landfill Site And Lauds MCD For Clearing The Site | News18

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited the Bhalswa landfill site, congratulating the MCD and the working company for exceeding the designated target and working at a faster pace.

The target was to reduce waste by 14 lakh tons in the past year, and so far, 18 lakh tons have been successfully managed.

The garbage mountain at Delhi's entrance is a stain; the Delhi government aims to clear it by next year, targeting a reduction of 30 lakh tons by May 15, compared to the current speed, which would mean a reduction of 45 lakh tons.

Upon clearing 45 lakh tons of waste, 35 acres of land will be available. The total land is 72 acres, providing ample opportunities for various developments.
