MAKE YOUR OWN SHABBY CHIC FRENCH SHELF SITTER DECOR
I enjoyed creating and decorating this shabby chic French sign shelf sitter with several different mediums on these two pieces of scrap pine wood 1"x 5 "x 4" and 1"x4" x4" . Some of the art media used was new techniques for me , such as the stamping and clay moulds, I really enjoyed creating, I hope you will give it a try making this pretty shelf sitter.

00:15 Painted with Ink black and Snow White Waverly chalk paint.
03:16 Stamped Florals with acrylic black paint.
05:48 Decoupaged birds and branches from a 1 ply napkin.
06:08 Printed font in reverse on regular printer paper then mod podged transfer the french romantic love words 'je pense a toi' which means 'I'm thinking of you' and smaller wood sitter with 'mon coeur' which means 'my heart'.
07:06 Made moulds with air dry clay and glued to top. Applied antique wax on the moulds.
07:54 Sealed wood with Mod Podge.
