The Ontario Government is expected to soon announce a complete overhaul of the important definition of "catastrophic impairment" (CAT) set out in the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS).
The CAT definition overhaul will include the introduction of multiple new medical tests with controversial thresholds, along with the elimination of the simple GCS test.
This presentation is a review of all of the recent developments relating to the definition of Catastrophic Impairment; anticipated Catastrophic Impairment changes, the concerns, and update of where it is heading.
