The formula is simple: 4 days, 4 nights. No food. Solitude in nature.

The unknown is less direct...Just as in life, we never know what awaits around the bend in the road. Anticipating the future is mostly an exercise in futility. Preparing oneself to handle any climate, any circumstances, ANY situation...that’s what prepares a boy for life as a man.

Problem is, we’ve abandoned Rites of Passage. We’ve completely forgotten about the practice of identifying boys on the verge of adulthood and sending them off into an ordeal to test them, to prepare them for the world.
