Oslo to Fornebu bike trip. Easy for all ages.

Today we will take a roundtrip to the Fornebu peninsula. The whole area has changed remarkably. Until 1998 the old Oslo Airport used to be at Fornebu. After the new airport opened at Gardermoen, the whole area started slowly to undergo huge changes. Today not much is left of the old airport. We will stop by the old airport tower and in the distance you will see the old hangar.

Nowadays there is mix use area with lots of commercial and residential areas. The buses goes 24 hours and they are extending the Metro to Fornebu. It will open end of this decade, only thirty years too late! Yeah, we Norwegians are terrible at infrastructure projects!

Anyways enjoy. It is a great trip for all people. It is safe to bike to Fornebu so no problem taking the whole family with you.
