THE STORY -
This job was an odd one. If you have watched my channels before, you have probably heard me speak about my faith. The reason I brought this up is because when I found this property, I had just landed in Florida. But I spent several days driving around looking for people that were in need. And I started to get very discouraged because I was not finding anything. I started to pray as I was driving, "Lord please guide me and use me for your good as you see fit." I have done this many times in the past and whenever I do, I always land on a property that makes no sense. Like this one, it seemed at first glance completely out of place. A house that is surrounded by commercially zoned land (the neighbors were business) and when I first saw the place, I thought it had to be abandoned. It had cars parked out front but that's not unusual for an abandoned property. As I looked around the property I saw overgrown grass, vines all up the house, a ton of trash flowing out of the house and trails in the back leading to a building. My first thought to myself was "There are squatters in the back." I typically take that as a sign that the property is going to be unsafe and I need to go else where. It's not the people that I might meet that make it unsafe in my opinion. But typically squatters in places like this are often on drugs. This means they themselves could be a danger or what I have also come across was a large amount of needles in this type of situation. But because I prayed and this was the house I came across not even 5 minutes later; that to me means that I have to do my part. So even though I was hesitant I knocked... waited then knocked again. Still no answer. But then I noticed that one of the cars had a tag on it that was up to date. This stuck out to me because if the house was abandoned, that means that it hasn't been abandoned for long. Doubtful that anything would come out of it I wrote my information on a piece of paper and let them know I would like to help them and would cut their lawn completely free of charge. I figured even if they were squatting they could probably use the help. Now to my surprise while working on a property in another city, I received a phone call. I could not believe it. The person living there called me. I had forgot all about leaving a note at the house and just kind of wrote it off in my head as a waste of time. Come to find out, it was the sister of the person living at the house. She was in town trying to help her brother out who is wheel chair bound. And just like I wanted to help with the outside of the property, she had been working hard to clean up the inside of the house.
And that is why all of the trash was flowing out of the house. She had been throwing out while cleaning so that she could order a dumpster to throw it all away. After speaking with her and finding out more about the property and their story; I spent the next 4 days cleaning the property. Out of all the jobs I have done, I think this one has the most dramatic before and after. And that is really saying a lot. Now because this project was so large I broke it into 2 parts: the front yard and the backyard. I didn't think you guys would want to watch a 3 to 4 hour long video lol.

Now this is a word that perfectly describes many people and from what I know about you I have a sneaking suspicion, you may be one! This refers to someone who is afraid of running out of things to read.
