A lot of other excellent reviews have thoroughly discussed the noise cancelling and other tech found within the Airpods Max. For something different, I wanted to answer a question I'm sure others have asked about a $550 pair of headphones -- how do they compare against "audiophile" headphones of similar price points?


After using them almost exclusively for 3 weeks -- except for comparison sessions -- here is my honest take on them.


Headphones compared: Beyerdynamic DT 770 and 1990, Sennheiser HD600, Denon AH-D5000
