Olabisi Onabanjo University law students made history by representing Nigeria at the International Moot Court Competition in Germany. A team from the faculty of law at Olabisi Onabanjo University was selected to compete at the Nuremberg Moot Court in Nuremberg, Germany. The moot court was an international competition that invited law students from around the world to argue a fictitious case before the "International Criminal Court." The competition provided students with the opportunity to develop their skills and plead at the historic Courtroom 600 of the Nuremberg Palace of Justice, where the Nuremberg trials against the major Nazi war criminals took place. The team from Olabisi Onabanjo University was made up of Afolabi Alawode in 500L, Funmilayo Olubuse in 400L, and Wuraola Okuneye in 400L. They arrived in Germany on July 17 and were expected to spend at least a week there. The Nuremberg Moot Court was organized by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the International Criminal Law Research Unit at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. The competition usually took place every year in July, and last year's edition was concluded on July 22. A maximum of three teams was usually selected per country, and each team had to have at least three and at most five members, excluding the team coach. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/sh...
