How to patch an automatic pool cover with a vinyl patch kit.

There is always a potential that a pool cover could become damaged. Instead of opting for a replacement, some owners may choose to use a patch kit. This is a cost-effective solution to avoid further damage and restore the effectiveness of your safety pool cover.

This video shows the process of applying a patch in a few simple steps. Please note that all patches should be applied to the top side of a cover. Further, ensure that the sheen side is facing the sky and apply the vinyl glue to the matte side.

Best used for tears 6 inches or less. Anything more than 6 inches and a cover may no longer be considered a "safety" cover or form of barrier.

When working with adhesives or chemicals, ensure you are using the proper PPE in a well ventilated area.
