Seattle’s new Mayor, Katie Wilson, says she is still assembling her team but is focused on addressing homelessness, public safety, and small business survival in her first 100 days in office.

She is open to meeting with President Trump. She made the comments in a wide-ranging conversation with KOMO News on Wednesday.

“I think we've done what I promised to do right, which is to build a team that has that combination of deep experience at City Hall and also bringing in some fresh faces, new ideas,” said Wilson, in the interview on the seventh floor of City Hall in a room where the carpets had been freshly shampooed and walls cleaned.
