Structural Integrity of Offshore Assets

Structural Integrity Management (SIM) system is an important tool for maintaining a reliable structural performance during the system lifespan. Structural integrity evaluation which constitutes a key element in the SIM framework can be used to verify whether an existing structure remains fit for purpose for an anticipated extended operating life or strengthening, modification, and repair are required.

The presentation begins by introducing the concept of the Structural Integrity Management (SIM) system, and the objectives of SIM. The talk then focuses on the evaluation part of the SIM framework. The engineering evaluation will reveal whether the structure can meet the objectives of SIM. The webinar finishes by presenting two case studies of the engineering evaluations.
