This an non-commercial video dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Submarine U995 - a Typ VII C/41 - situated at the Marine-Ehrenmahl in Laboe near Kiel, Germany.
It was built in 1943. Since the End of WWII it was used as a training submarine, the “KAURA“, for the Norwegian Navy.

After an extensive renovation it was brought to Laboe by two swimmcranes on the 13. of March1972. Since then it is open for public as a technical museum and a reminder of
all fallen sailors of every nationality.
The “Deutscher Marinebund“ and it's subdivision „Marinekameradschaft Freundeskreis U 995“ takes care for it.

It is definitly worth a visit, if you are somewhere in the north of Germany!
