FREE GRAVEL RIDE // 16th November // CLUMBER PARK

Come and join me this November for a gravel ride in north Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The distance is 100 miles so it's a good day of riding, elevation wise we are talking just over a 1,000 metres / 3,200 ft so for the distance and terrain nothing too spectacular I will hope you will agree.

The ride starts from Clumber Park, google Friar Tuck cafe and you will safe a small car park opposite the arch way entrance of the park (Limetree Avenue). Ride starts at 9am so arrive early for chatter before the ride, the cafe opens at 7am (normally according to Google) - it will however be closed once the ride is over as we will no doubt be finishing in the dark. Which brings me to the subject of bike lights, there will be less than 8 hours of daylight and even less if its cloudy/overcast so I must insist you bring both front and rear lights. Everything else is optional of which I have suggested what you could bring on the link below... or in the other words the things that I will be taking with me.

Break stop. There is one planned cafe stop, at half way there is Doddington Hall, its a very modern cafe with plenty of sitting both indoors and outdoors and there is also a Giant store right next door if foreinstance you need to buy lights! Aside form that other points of interests are indicated on the map. I picture the group stopping at the Co-op in Sutton-on-Trent, Doddington Hall for lunch and on the way back the shop at Blyth, but we will shall see how everyone feels on the day.
