August 21, 2024 Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners

At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners on August 21, 2024, Joshua Reoun was sworn in as a Cheltenham Police Officer. Public Hearings were held on three amendments to the Zoning ordinance - to establish a Class 3 Special Exception, to revise the definition of Veterinary Clinic and Conservation/Recreation Facility, and to make changes regarding enforcement remedies and civil penalties.
The Board considered recommendations of the Public Works, Building & Zoning, Public Safety, Public Affairs, and Finance Committees, which included:
- authorizing issuance of bids for stormwater management projects
- authorizing a pedestrian crossing evaluation on Chelten Hills Dr near Whitewood Rd
- adopting an ordinance amending Rental Licensing and Inspection
- purchase of a new police vehicle
- awarding of contracts for streambank restoration projects
- settlement agreements regarding 2023 real estate tax appeals and litigation with Lukoil at 105 Greenwood Ave
