3-month-old Tiny, a baby hippopotamus with a distinctive pink scar on his nose, wanders away from his protective mother Mama Rose into a treacherous mud zone. What starts as innocent exploration quickly becomes a nightmare when a massive 6-meter African Rock Python emerges from the reeds.

As the 180kg snake coils around the helpless 300kg baby, Mama Rose - a 1.8-ton mother with a distinctive V-notch on her left ear - can only watch in horror from the riverbank. Her massive weight prevents her from crossing the deadly mud trap that now holds her baby captive.

With time running out and Tiny's breath fading, a wildlife rescue team races against the clock. But between them and the trapped baby stands an aggressive hippo herd and a furious mother who doesn't understand they're there to help...
