Election Commission Serves Notices To BJP, Congress President Over Alleged MCC Violations

In an unprecedented move, the Election Commission of India has issued fresh notices to BJP and Congress party. The EC has issued this notice to both the party’s chiefs, JP Nadda and Mallikarjun Kharge. ECI has seeked responses to the alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct by their star campaigners. ECI has written to JP Nadda regarding complaints about Prime Minister Modi, and to Mallikarjun Kharge about complaints related to Rahul Gandhi.
