North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the Choe Hyon naval destroyer during a military exhibition on Sunday (October 5), state media reported on Monday (October 6).

His visit to the warship was part of a schedule that included attending the military hardware exhibition which started on Saturday (October 4), ahead of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea. The annual exhibition showcases what North Korea calls the "remarkable development" of its modernised military, according to KCNA.
