WLToys K969 and K989 Steering Mod - The First Modification You Should Make | RC Racing Legends

The very first modification any WLToy's K969 or K989 owner should do to their 1/28 scale R/C cars out of the box is simple, easy, and totally FREE!

NOTE: WLToys recently changed the design of the steering servo horn on their K969 and K989 cars. As such, if you recently purchased your own K969 or K989 car and are looking to perform this mod, it will NOT work for you as described in this video.

You can still perform this mod, but you will either need to use a 3.5mm ball stud (with M2 thread) https://bit.ly/3Czcg1n or you'll need to fill in the second hole on the servo horn with a plastic filler and install the included screw once the filler has hardened.
