Recipe
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup of brown sugar
14 pieces of seasoned meat
2 cups of parboiled rice
2/4 or 1/2 cups coconut milk (none, less, or more if you prefer)
1 tin of pigeon peas
There is no set time to let the sugar burn you have to monitor it. Depending on the pan use and temperature the sugar will burn quickly or not. Keep stirring it up occasionally.
*If you want your peleau darker let the sugar burn a little darker. Don't let it burn!
