How long does a lip production outcome last? That's one of the common questions that are asked and what can we expect after a lip production surgery. That is also a common question asked by most of our patients. See lip production surgery is a surgery where we cut out a part of your lip either upper lip or lower lip depending upon the bulkiness of your upper lip and lower lip so that we decrease the bulk of that lip. Now this surgery is done with cuts made inside. So nothing no scars outside and we take off a sleeve of your lip either from the upper lip or the lower lip depending upon which lip is more bulky. Now after this surgery what you can expect is a lot of swelling many many times our patients ask oh my God my lip has swollen so much Doctor. What do I do now I usually reassure them saying that all the swelling. Most 90% of the swelling usually goes down in about 1 or 2 weeks time and 100% of the swelling goes down by around 6 weeks time. So you might not be socially presentable in the first couple of weeks after liap reduction expect a lot of swelling after lip reduction. That is normal.
