2nd Alarm Defensive Structure Fire On Crawford Ave - Windsor Fire On Scene - 2023-01-09

At 9:00pm Windsor Fire Crews received multiple reports of a structure fire in the 400 block of Crawford Ave. First unit arrived confirming a working fire inside of an residence. Call was then upgraded to a 2nd Alarm response. Crews were interior but then Internal conditions started changing and the inside became unsafe they switched to a Defensive attack with fire conditions starting to increase. Multiple units were on scene. Transit Windsor assisting with a bus to keep firefighters warm during rehab. Heavy smoke was in the area of Crawford Ave. Fire was under control around 2:00am. Damage is at $600,000. No injuries. Cause undetermined.
