Kravica Waterfall
Kravica waterfall is a beautiful natural landmark located near Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kravica nature park is a popular tourist destination thanks to the amazing waterfall that’s over 25 meters high. The Kravica waterfall is said to have originated millions of years ago. Kravica waterfalls is one of the largest waterfalls in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it’s definitely worth a visit. The waterfall was formed as a result of tectonic movement and the upheaval of the limestone plateau on which Trebizat, the river that feeds the waterfalls, flows. The best time to visit Kravica is during the summer when the water level is high and the weather is warm.
The Kravica Nature Park is open every day from 7 am to 10 pm in the summer months and from 7 am to 7 pm in the winter months.

Kravica Waterfall Location & How to Get There

Kravica waterfall is located in Kravica Nature Park which is situated approximately 45 km from Mostar. The drive from Mostar to Kravica takes about 45 minutes and the drive from Sarajevo to Kravica takes approximately 3 hours.

The easiest way to get to Kravica is by car or private tour. If you are visiting Kravica waterfall as part of a tour, the entrance fee is usually not included in the price. However, it is always best to check with your tour company to make sure.
Swimming and Sunbathing at Kravica Waterfall

The Kravica waterfall pool is open for swimming from June to September. The water is quite cold but it is refreshing on a hot day. There are changing rooms, showers, and toilets at the Waterfall so you can change into your swimsuit and enjoy a dip.

If you don’t fancy swimming, you can always sunbathe on the rocks or lie in the shade of the trees. There are plenty of spots to relax and take in the stunning scenery. Kravica is a great place to spend a day in nature, swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the incredible views.
